The kind of shot every photographer lives for. I was photographing at the Ka Hula Piko Festival on Molokai. Back where the performers were getting ready, I saw a beautiful young dancer surrounded by adults. She was practicing her dance. I could only catch glimpses of her. I raised my camera just as she became momentarily fascinated by the light falling on her arm. Click! The adults moved back in front of her and the moment was gone. But it was captured in my camera. Later I used a process I’ve developed in Photoshop to make the photo much more painterly.
