Cats for Adoption

I am finally happy with my cat pattern. I have just posted 2 cats that are available for adoption. I do have a  Cat Waiting List so I am contacting the collectors on that list first. To see my available cats please go to my “Mink Cat” page on my website.

Thank you to my collectors who sent me photos of their  own cats to inspire me. I surrounded myself with those photos and several books of cat photos. I needed that inspiration since I live with 3 dogs.

I had originally intended on making a simple design of a sleeping kitten. I actually designed eyelids that opened and closed (with the help of my dear friend and fellow mink bear artist, Julie, who share her tips). But when I put them on my cat I thought that they detracted from the overall “appeal” of my design. And after spending so much time applying several layers to colors to my hand painted eyes it didn’t make much sense to cover them with eyelids. Well, my “simple” concept evolved into to a more complicated design that I am very happy with. Maybe I will try the sleeping kitten design later.

My daughter, Kellisa, will be going into the hospital tomorrow and will be having sinus surgery and a bronc (to clear out her lungs) on Friday. Your good thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. I will be staying with her 24-7 while she is in the hospital. If all goes well we should be home in a few days.

Hugs to all
