The Welcome place has been has been operating as a drop in centre for over eleven years and is open to members of the community irrespective of age.
Light snacks and lunches are available every Tuesday lunch time at low prices and with the help of a willing team of around 18 volunteers this group has raised several thousand pounds, which goes back into helping the local community and the Day Centre funds.
The Welcome Place café moved into the new centre in the 29th August ’06 following eleven years at Whitburn Pentecostal Church.. The café meets every Tuesday and has contributed £7,500 towards the new Centre as well as helping many people in the Community.
Based in the café is the new Food Co-op initiative which sells low cost fresh fruit & vegetables from 11:30 - 1:30.
