These are the facts about how early Easter is this year:

Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20 this year).
This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to identify passover, which is why it moves around on our Roman calendar.

Here's the interesting info.
This year is the earliest Easter any of us will ever see the rest of our lives!
And only the most elderly of our population have ever seen it this early (95 years old or above!).
And none of us have ever, or will ever, see it a day earlier!

Here's the facts:
1) The next time Easter will be this early (March 23) will be the year 2228 (220 years from now).
The last time it was this early was 1913 ,( if you're 95 or older, you are the only ones that were around for that!).
2) The next time it will be a day earlier, March 22 ,and will be in the year 2285 , (277 years from now).
The last time it was on March 22 was 1818.
So, no one alive today will ever see it any earlier than this year!
I have asked each of our staff to recommend one book this year (each take a month) and tell us why they liked it.

March’s book is a bit different than many in the past as it deals with health and nutrition. It is called the Seven Pillars of Health and it is being recommended to us by Dan Friend. I’ll talk to him later and find out a little more about why he chose this book and why he would recommend it to us. I have read the first “pillar” and have found it interesting!

It is so refreshing to read a story of a person who makes a commitment to integrity and then lives it out!

Even if you are not a football fan, (or a Colts fan), you will find the book a easy reading, genuine testimony of a man who wants to live the Christian life in every possible way.

It is not the story of perfection, but of a man who strives to be like his Heavenly Father.

Highly recommended!

Moses granted them the land with the assurance from them that they would still fight with their brothers. I said, (and had in the notes) that this story was found in Deuteronomy 32. While that passage discusses the division of the land, the passage I was really referring to was NUMBERS 32. Just wanted to correct that.

It does not include the NIV but I usually have that one handy and can compare others easily. It has been very helpful to me in study. Just thought I share it! The link is: http://biblos.com/
