Mar 31/08 This is hard to believe. Michigan has had the coldest winter in decades. Water expands to freeze, and at Mackinaw City the water in Lake Huron below the surface ice was supercooled. It expanded to break through the surface ice and froze intothis incredible wave. I've seen pictures of this wave phenomena in Antarctica, but in Michigan? Yes, it's been quite a winter!(submitted by Dave Prince)

Oct 28/07 (6:00 AM) Haul Out will begin this morning at 8 AM
Oct 27/07 HAUL OUT: A final decision on tomorrow's Haul Out will be made tomorrow at 6 AM with Moir. I will post the info on both email  and the web by 6:30.  If it's a go there will be two cranes. The crane in the south parking lot will not have the regular spreader frame but will have something which they believe will be adequate for the wider boats.   The winds don't appear to be a problem according to the forecast.  Prior to  6 AM, water levels and winds will be assessed before we notify you.

July 7/07 June 4 minutes of the executive meeting added to Members
July 5/07 Last month the executive established priorities or grouped projects that need to be addressed. A was the most important; B fairly important; C would be nice if we have time. Here is the list. These projects can be broken down into individual tasks. If you would like to take on a challenge first check with the appropriate executive member (i.e. Larry Domm, Property) to make sure it has not already been assigned. Also, something like ‘landscaping’ is very broad and can be divided into several tasks.
