    The Half Marathon Course is the same as last year.  USATF Certification:IL-05006-JW.  
•    Start/finish at Cary-Grove High School, 2208 Three Oaks Road Cary, IL., 60013
•    The half marathon course has been dubbed the most challenging in Northern Illinois and an excellent training race for spring marathons.
•    All miles will be accurately marked.
•    Split times given at 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 miles
•    Water and Gatorade will be provided at approximate 2.5 mile intervals and at the finish line.
•    Chronomix timed finish line.
•    Washrooms on course at 3, 5  and 9 miles. Brick washrooms are available in conservation areas along the course.
•    Headphones, strollers, bikes, roller blades and dogs are not allowed on the course. Violators will be disqualified. Course will close a=11:30 AM.
 
LOCATION
Cary is located on US Rt. 14 approximately 50 miles northwest of downtown Chicago.  Take US Rt. 14 west to First Street, North on First St. to Three Oaks Road. Cary-Grove High School.   2208 Three Oaks Road,  Cary IL  60013  (Google map)  
 
SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Hillstriders Club will award scholarship money to  2 male and 2 female graduating seniors from a McHenry County high school in memory of Fritz Kauffman.  15 special entries will be made available as charitable donations to promote the Hillstriders Scholarship Fund
 
PACKET PICKUP
Packet pickup will be available on Saturday, March 15th from 10 AM – 4 PM at The Running Depot – 30 North Williams Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. http://www.therunningdepot.com/ Packet pickup will  also be available 6:30–8:00 AM at Cary-Grove High School on race day morning.
 
PARKING
The school parking lots will hold 575 cars.  Overflow lot located 1/2 mile east on Three Oaks Road as well as limited street parking.  
 
FACILITIES
Registration and results will be held in the  gym on the east side of the school.  All runners and guests are restricted to the gym   and adjoining hallways.  Shower facilities are not available. Consumption of alcoholic beverages on school grounds is prohibited! In addition to the four washrooms inside the school, facilities are also available in the parking lot near the start/finish area.

AWARDS
Trophies will be awarded to overall winners.  Plaques will be given to the top ten males and females.   Medals will be awarded to age group winners (3 deep).  Approximate time schedule   for Half Marathon awards is 11 AM.
 
PREMIUM/AMENITIES
A long sleeve technical running shirt commemorating the 30th running of the March Madness race will be provided to the first 1000 pre-registered runners.
