I am an incessant doodler, and do a doodle whenever I find an idle moment with not enough time to really do anything more substantial. Like most of the other stuff I do to fill my time, such as music making, writing and painting, I do it to relax as well as see what is floating around in my brain. Here are a few examples of my doodles. Some are earlier pieces I did while I was working as a board operator at the local NBC affiliate in Eureka, Calif., before I got busy as a full-time videographer and reporter. The blue one is more recent and is a page from a journal of doodles I’ve kept around since the mid-80s. See my blog (http://seizureman.blogspot.com) for more information about that one. Mars is something that came out of me after I saw some work by an artist named Mars One in an excellent compilation book called Convergence, which features some of my favorite contemporary painters, such as Oliver Vernon and Mars One. As usual, I’ll post more soon ...
