My name is Chris Lauer, but you can call me Chris. I’m a freelance writer, author and artist who lives and works in Wilmington, Delaware.
If you click around on these pages, you’ll see some of my paintings (oil, gouache and acrylic), cartoons (published in a newspaper I once owned in Humboldt County, California), doodles from my sketchbook, and even a psychedelic clay animation I made while I lived in Eureka. It’s called Anthem, which was also the name of the magazine, not so surprisingly.
Within these pages, you can also find music from some of my old bands, including 552 Ashbury, Opera Alley, Seizureman, Daisy Cutters (named after a bomb which leaves a flower-shaped aftermath), and Longhi & Lauer, which resulted from a recent visit with my friend Jon Longhi in San Francisco.
If you keep clicking on some of these links, you’ll find some of the Lauer’s Logic cartoons I drew for The Review at the University of Delaware, when I worked there, and some posters I drew for Slim’s in San Francisco, when I worked there. I recently took a drawing class, which is why some nude drawings can be found compiled into a little video you can find here, too.
I hope you stumble onto something in these pages that you find either interesting or entertaining. If so, please feel free to e-mail me at: delawareeditor@aol.com.
Thank you for stopping by! - Chris
