Greetings from Deer Run Daylily Gardens!
Welcome to Deer Run Daylily Gardens! As our name implies, we specialize in growing and selling plants of the genus Hemerocallis, commonly known as the daylily. But our interests are far reaching, including early spring bulbs, the genus Epimedium, various Iris and Lilium, plus much more. We offer a variety of hardy and reliable herbaceous perennial plants for sale in addition to the daylilies.
Our gardens and nursery are located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, approximately midway between Allentown and Philadelphia. Our Spring sales begin around mid-April and our annual Mother’s Day weekend open gardens (May 11-13, 2012) is a popular May event which highlights some spring blooming plants. Plan to come back the weekend of June 22-24, 2012, or June 29-30 & July 1 to see hundreds of daylilies in bloom. For these three weekends only we are open on Friday and Saturday from 10-5 and Sunday 1-5 in the afternoon. As we often point out to potential visitors, we welcome your visit at most other times, and will attempt to accommodate requests when possible. All we ask is that you contact us before you come, as it is a disappointment for all of us if we miss your visit.
UPDATE-March 25, 2012-With the early warmth plants in the garden are growing vigorously and many spring bulbs have already been blooming. Most of April is an excellent time to transplant and prepare your daylily garden for 2012. Plant now and you should be rewarded with healthy and blooming plants this summer. Make your selections now and give us a call!
Included on our website are photos of most of the daylilies we offer for sale, numbering over 400. We grow over 1000 cultivars, including many older and spider type varieties, so if you are looking for a particular cultivar please contact us as we do not include all our sale plants in the catalog.
