I am a recycling artist.  I give  abandoned cast offs a new life as fun, fantastical & functional household items.  I would say that at least 85% of the materials I use, including paint, hardware, tools & other parts are recycled from thrift shops, yard sales & trash bins.

  I work intuitively rather than designing a piece before I begin working on it.  Usually I work as though I am putting together a jigsaw puzzle.   I rummage through my parts, spread some out on a table & begin putting them together.  I may be inspired by my mood, some phrase I have heard, a piece of music, or whatever else catches my eyes & ears.
