REST in Peace little Windchill - you are running in the green pastures as you should have here but now you have no pain, a full belly and know that you are loved.
THANK YOU Jeff and Kathi for sharing Windchill with us.
You and Windchill have given us a great gift.
3/2/08
My son asked me today why I was so upset, you see I do a lot of fund raising for pet rescue. Each one a different story, you always think you have seen it all until another animal abuse/abandonment case comes along. Windchill became a very personal story to me. I will never forget that little horse. I will most likely never meet Jeff or Kathi in person. I will never see the barn he spent his last few weeks surrounded by love. BUT, I will continue to keep his name and memory along with his story alive.
So I sat with my teenage son and told him Windchills story. Told him about the neglect, told him about the rescue, told him about all the volunteers, told him about Jeff and Kathi, told him about all of the people from around the world that are heartbroken. AND told him of the love that Windchill brought to so many people, the hope and the courage. How he brought people together -I’ve made many new friends during these last couple of weeks.
And although I have anger trying to fight its way out, I will continue to hang on to little Windchills spirit.
Thank you Windchill for opening my eyes......

IT is with GREAT SADNESS that I post this morning that Windchill passed away last night February 29, 2008 at Raindance Farms. HE was courageous and noble and brought hope to so many people around the world. He will be forever missed and NEVER forgotten.
