Boston Urban Outreach is a unique program of the City Mission Society of Boston, a mission agency affiliated with the United Church of Christ. BUO matches youth and adults to mission and service opportunities within the Greater Boston Area. These mission experiences can be arranged for one day, a weekend, or for a week’s duration. Your group will stay at a local urban church which then benefits from the fees paid for lodging as well as the spirit that your group will bring.
For more information, go to http://www.cmsboston.org/what_we_do/faith_community/buo.html or contact the Director of Boston Urban Outreach, Carl McDonald, at 617-742-6830, ext. 210 or at cmcdonald@cmsboston.org.

For AUCE Members
“Finally a guide that really is a Guide.
It is a fabulous resource for both youth ministry familiars and first-timers.”
Maren Tirabassi,
author of Blessing New Voices and DayBook for New Voices, member of AUCE
This guide contains the wisdom and experience from some of the best youth ministers in our organization. It is a youth ministry primer for those who are committed to and passionate about ministry with the youth in their church, but who may not have much background with youth ministry or know where to look for resources. It’s also a great resource for the seasoned professional. The guide features sections on “Starting a Youth Ministry Program,” Keeping Your Youth Ministry Program Going,” and a helpful Resources List which also directs the youth ministry newcomer to the best resources to read and use first.
