I thought you might like to see what an application for a tenure track position looks like.  This is a bare minimum and includes a letter of application, curriculum vitae, copies of degrees, letters of recommendation, sample publications, statement of teaching philosophy, sample course syllabi and materials, research agenda, older set of letters of recommendation, etc.

It’s not at all unusual for 200-300 people to apply for the same position.
