We’ve moved to Doha, Qatar and will be here for at least eight more months. We moved over with two other families and are living in a compound several kilometers away from downtown Doha.
This site will hopefully provide two things: a way to keep in touch with family and friends and a record of our stay in Qatar.
For those interested, Wikipedia has the following entries on Qatar. The first provides general information, the second is from their List of Words of Disputed Pronunciation which lists six different ways to pronounce Qatar. All apparently correct.
Our Toyota LandCruiser Prado is like thousands of others on the road here. Because they are all so similar it’s sometimes hard to find the car in the parking lot.
