Japanese artist Takasumi Abe  headed to Lake Norman on Friday, September 29, for a sound-gathering expedition, The idea was to inflate about 15 plastic bags with helium, and use them to loft a small recorder 300 meters toward the clouds. The sound Abe collected will be part of an installation at the Davidson College Belk Visual Arts Center beginning Oct. 12.
