What can I say, an icon that was a privilege to own, the rally heritage, 5 cylinder growl with neck snapping torque, shit brakes and heaps of under steer... almost as good and as much fun as the Honda to drive.
Obviously being very pi**ed off that our ideal car had been lifted by a grubby brick layer I decided to go on the hunt for a similar spec’d car that was a bit older and less desirable to people with dodgy ca acquisition habits.
The S2 provided this in heaps, with much more power, lot’s of under-steer and no car loan to pay off! The down side was expensive servicing and regular break downs. It was sold at the end of 2006.
