What is burning belly?

The term “burning belly” was coined in reference to the complaint of Jeremiah to Yahweh: “The words are fire in my belly; a burning in my bones. I’m worn out trying to hold it in. I can’t do it any longer!” I use the term to express the (mainly) theological ideas that have been percolating for about 10 years — and which I can’t keep in. Blogging is a great way to let them out.
