Digital fine art reproduction is fast becoming the wave of the future for artists working in watercolor, acrylic, oil, and other flat-art media.

HP Artist software for digital fine art reproduction is “embedded” in a host application, such as Ergosoft’s StudioPrint Rip. Nikon is also a partner in development of this technology.


HP Artist uses detailed digital information about the camera used, the characteristics of the studio lighting, the palette and reflectance of the artwork and a white board, and a RAW image of the artwork.

 

This software application transforms the old, painstaking process of art reproduction to a streamlined, color-controlled workflow. The review paper, over ten pages long, includes step by step workflow, budget analysis, and return on investment information.
