Dad,

I know I'm stepping way out of bounds here by being so pushy and pardon my urging if you already have something planned. But PLEASE at least let your devoted following of readers know that they could vote for you. The date is fast approaching and it would be a tragedy to see you pass up the opportunity once again!!! I feel that you really deserve to be recognized for your wonderful work. You'd kick my ass if I was being as modest and weird as you are!!! With love~E

The nomination phase will run from March 15th through April 13th http://www.mouseandtrowel.org/

Dad says: I have so much respect for Colleen Vanderlin and what she has done for garden bloggers by creating these Mousie awards.  I’m also blown away by the talent and goodwill that I find on display daily among my garden blogging peers.  But I’ve also been reluctant to jump up and down, hand you (my friends), the nomination form and plead, ‘Pick Me!  Pick Me!

Erin says I’m being weird.

My inside voice says, “So!  I thought you liked weird.”

Truth is, most days I’d rather have my hands in the dirt than stand preening in front of the mirror.  (For those whose tongues are clucking now, c’mon, I said ‘most days’.)

Nevertheless, I’ve learned that when she becomes insistent, she often has a point.  So I’ve included a lovely little link below (green), that I drug over here from Pam/Digging’s amazing site and then made ‘live’ to transport you to Colleen’s 2008 Mouse and Trowel Nomination Form.  Simply click on it and you’ll be taken there as if by magic.

I’d be honored, truly, if you felt it appropriate to include my name in there, somewhere...

PS:  This was Erin’s third attempt, and you know what they say about the third time.

In my garden: Aquilegia and raindrops
