A week of preparation in the Cairngorms for our expedition to Peru in July. I’ll be spending almost a month with this group of 6th form students from Bristol. We’ll be trekking in the Cordillera Huayhuash - the same area that appears in Touching the Void: a stunning area. Then once acclimiatised, we’ll be attempting to climb Nevada Pisco.

 

The weather varied from pure blue skies on perfectly hardened snow, through to 70 mph winds on our final day.
