Legendary ‘60s Band Reunited in the 21st Century
Formed in 1963 prior to the beginning of the British Invasion, The Novas evolved from a teenaged surf music combo into one of the Southwest’s most popular and well-known “jangle-pop” bands. Their sound mixed large parts of Beatles, Byrds, Hollies and Yardbirds with splashes of Soul, Motown and R&B, placing the band in demand for parties, clubs, concerts and television appearances throughout the late 1960s. Several regional 45 RPM releases helped solidify their reputation and are still considered sought-after collector’s items.

In 2006, the original band members, plus new drummer David Davis (Outcasts – Dallas, TX), decided to reunite and are now the same great band again, but 40 years better! Every member of the modern version of The Novas is now a seasoned music business professional, having honed their individual talents with recording, performing and touring work over the last 42 years. In addition, the band’s modern state-of-the-art equipment has helped The Novas perfect the original sounds they pioneered in the ‘60s to present audiences with the best sounds of yesterday, today and beyond.
