Legendary ‘60s Band Reunited in the 21st Century!
Legendary ‘60s Band Reunited in the 21st Century!
Formed in 1963 prior to the British Invasion, The Novas evolved from a teenaged surf music combo into one of the Southwest’s most popular and well-known “jangle-pop” bands. Their sound mixed large parts of The Beatles, The Byrds, The Hollies and The Yardbirds influences with splashes of Soul, Motown and R&B, putting the band in high demand for parties, clubs concerts and television appearances throughout the late 1960s. Their regional hit 45 “William Junior” was the first of several records that helped solidify their reputation for tight 3-part harmonies and driving instrumental backing.
In 2006, the three original band members plus new drummer David Davis (The Outcasts, Le Cirque - Dallas, TX) decided to reunite and are now performing again full time. Every member of the revamped version of The Novas is now a seasoned music business professional with years of road and recording experience under their belts.
Come experience the authentic sounds of one of the most creative musical periods in modern music history, played by the original musicians who were there when it was invented.
