DBD Participates in National Design Week
with Logo Retrospective
The Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York City wrote:
“Launched in 2006, National Design Week is an education initiative offering free admission for all museum visitors and hosting a series of public programs surrounding the National Design Awards.”
Last year, there were 218 in 38 states, making it truly a national event. If you go their site, you’ll see where the nearest event to you is located.
DBD’s Participation: 5 Days of Logo Design Evolution
Starting Monday, October 19th, DBD will host an online exploration of 26 of the most well-known brands from around the world showing their evolution as brands, made possible by some incredible collections from across the Web. Brands include Apple, Microsoft, Xerox, BMW, VW, Ford, Kodak, Starbucks, Mastercard, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and 15 other brands we've all come to love, hate or at least recognize.
Very special thanks go to the various online collectors who compiled these compilations and the timelines.
This first blog entry is a collection of lifestyle brands that everyone will recognize, unless they’ve been living in a cave. Enjoy these trips down logo design and brand history. ;-Dhttp://www.nationaldesignawards.org/2009/nationaldesignweekshapeimage_1_link_0
