Budapest Hungary is a city of longstanding history, conquest, and influence that has spanned over a thousand years. Having most recently emerged from the dark shadows of communism, Budapest is poised to take advantage of new growth, new influences, and new life.

Budapest is marked by several key influences that have made her what she is today.  No influence is more important than the “bridges” that allowed for the twin cities of Buda and Pest to merge and form the current Budapest. Bridges open up the flow of resources, relationships, and realized potential. A bridge identifies something that was once separated by a gap and has now been “spanned” by a physical structure.  Of all the bridges, made famous in the world by their amazing beauty and influence, no bridge makes a greater impact than that of the cross that has spanned mankind’s sin and rebellion. Jesus Christ is our “divine bridge”, who has made possible, for all who come to Him, the fullness of life and abundance. Budapest is a city that Jesus is reaching into with the full span of His life and love.
