Voices of Sudan  offers history teachers or other educators a tool to educate and personalize a study on a modern day genocide. The book allows students to interact with the people behind the sometimes numbing numbers.  The stories and images force a student to consider the implications of genocide on an individual child, mother, or father.  A student can read the book in 30 minutes and gain an understanding of the personal and political struggles of Sudan.
