Our first stop was Makerere University School of Public Health (MUSPH) in Kampala Uganda, where Dr. Adami had established a collaboration between MUSPH and the Karolinska Institute several years ago.  Our host was Fred Wabwire-Mangen, PhD, Associate Professor of Epidemiology.  Our MUSPH colleagues took us to a rural district (Jinja) about 2 hours drive from the city to visit potential sites to establish a cohort.
