There has been a lot of arguing in the USA about health care lately, and the conservatives are saying some really bad things about the system in England. click here to see what people in England think about these claims and about their system. From what I read here, their system is not as good as Sweden, but it’s a hell of a lot better than ours, especially if you are not rich, or maybe even if you are. Michael Jackson was rich, and our system killed him. Also all their concern that single payer (government) health care violates the Constitution rings hollow, because these are the same people who supported the removal of tariffs, the “patriot” bill, and homeland security. All of these are gross violations of the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights. To the best of my knowledge, there is nothing in the Constitution about health care. I am, by nature, a skeptic, and must see things with my own eyes before I believe them. I have seen many UFO clips and other weird phenomena on places like TV shows and Youtube, but these can easily be faked. However, this 1111 thing is not on someone else’s video. It’s a real part of my life. It is not fake. If you are out there reading this, you can easily say I am making it all up, or I am delusional, but I see it. I wanted to see something that confirms that there is more to this world than that which is “ordinary”, because I feel strongly that this world is far from ordinary if we know enough about it. I feel that even though I always found it very hard to believe. Get the difference? For me, this is the confirmation I wanted, for you it probably isn’t. I would guess that if you really want to know how strange and wonderful this world is, something that will actually show you will come your way. For me, this is a good start, and more than I ever expected, but now I feel free to expect more yet. The rabbit hole beckons, shall we go?

I have seen 1111 or 111 in a lot of unexpected places. I have finally decided to start a log on my web site about it and update it whenever it happens. This log has now been there for a few months, and collected an impressive number of “sightings”, way beyond chance or expectation.

Why does this number show up in the lives of some people over and over and over? This is an interesting phenomenon, very new, as far as I know, and, for the last few years, it has been happening a lot in my life.

If you don’t understand what just happened with the Wall Street bailout, don’t worry too much about it. It’s really messed up and complicated, and I don’t get all of it either.

  Just listen to this song, it explains the whole story, in a way that might actually make sense.

Of course, things never really changed that much, but my perception of them did. I may expand on this in a blog entry some time in the future. It’s an interesting idea.

NOTE: The United States government debt is now about $36,300 for every man, woman, and child in the United States, and that’s by official figures, which do not count the Iraq war, or money borrowed from Social Security since LBJ was President. The actual debt may be double this figure. The median income in the United States (before the recession) was $48,000 per household, not per person. The debt for a family of 4 would be $145,200, by official figures. The actual debt for this typical family may be a third of a million dollars! At minimum wage, this is 44,300 hours of work, about 20 years working full time, with all income going to pay the debt at zero interest. At real world interest rates, paying it off would be impossible.

ANOTHER NOTE: The Republicans have suddenly discovered this debt, and they are blaming it all on Barack Obama, even though most of it was borrowed by previous Presidents, especially Ronald Reagan, George Herbert Walker Bush, and, of course, George W Bush.  It was already there when Obama got there.

The communists did everything they could to destroy the United States of America, and they failed dismally. Now the capitalists are showing them how it’s done, and even making huge profits while doing so!

This is a Sun recumbent bicycle. I have had one of these for 3 years, and ride it frequently, especially in the summer. I have probably put about 1K miles on it riding to the Sacramento Natural Foods Coop, or going along the river front to old Sacramento (until they closed the trail) and a few other really nice rides. I have always liked bicycles, especially recumbents. I got my first “bent” from Gardner Martin at Easy Racers in Watsonville, and was forced to sell it because of hard economic times. It was a Tour Easy, with a fairing, and I was able to sustain speeds of 17 to 20 miles per hour with it, even though I am not anywhere near an athlete. This one is not quite that good, but I still enjoy it a lot. My winter project (one of them) will be to add more carrying capacity to it so I can use it for shopping more often, and to add an electric hub motor, which I am starting to build a speed control for now. (see review for more info about this.) This will be much greener and more fun than driving a car, and I am looking forward to having it done. I may create a blog about how I did it to help other people do something like it. I have made a lot of progress on the electric motor. Here is a blog entry about that.

This beautiful creature showed up on some of the greenery behind my apartment. I got 3 macro shots, but I got too close on the third one and it flew away. I hope it isn’t one of the caterpillars that eat food plants, because I will probably put more of those back there. It’s mostly flowers now. I like to take photos of nature and all kinds of things.
