Welcome to my humble effort to keep the memory of the second world war alive. The site is updated regularly, so check back often!

World War II, analyzed! is online since 1998, and many other sites link or refer to it. The site design was kept very simple to navigate. In the major categories you’ll find articles on almost every aspect of the Second World War.

These are:

1. •Battle Reports: All articles about the major battles, the different units, the generals, everything you need to know about the military aspect of World War II.
   

2. •The Battlefields Today: This is the major section of the site. Here you’ll find hundreds of pictures of how the battlefields look like nowadays. From Normandy, Flanders, the Ardennes, Arnhem, to Bratislava. This section is also great if you’re planning a trip to the battlefields yourself.

4. •Fact or Myth: This section deals with those little known facts of World War II. Are they true, or are they just mistakes of history.
   

5. •The People’s War: How did the second World War influence life of ordinary people, how did they saw the war?
   

6. •Veteran Stories: Here you can read the stories of the people who really fought and died in the Second World War.
   

7. •Links: Most obvious, different links to other sites on the Second World War.
   

8. •Forum: Once you’ve registered, you can talk here about all aspects of World War II.

Some sections have sub sections to make navigation easier. For example there are sub sections for D-Day, Battle of the Bulge, Tanks, Ships, etc.

In all the major sections you can add your own comments to the articles, you can do a quick search in each section, you even subscribe to each section by RSS. Since all the articles now have a date of entry, you can easily see which articles are new, and get updates by RSS. All articles in the major sections have next and previous buttons, so you can navigate very fast to the next article, there’s also an archive page in each section so you can view all articles at a glance.
