Dave Applegate spent years honing his songwriting craft and performing live for excitable teenagers, discerning twentysomethings, and cynical middle-agers.  He was eventually spotted by the Osborne brothers, who offered their services as a stupendous rhythm section to give Dave's music the extra "mmph" it needed to achieve total greatness.

The Beekeepers were then formed in January of 2009 and immediately began a regular, and sometimes hectic schedule of rehearsal, recording, performance, and promotion.  Since then, they have played in dimly lit bars, sparkly coffee houses, sloping backyards, and barnyard festivals.

Their indie acoustic power trio sound is fairly unique without being the least bit alienating.  Memorable hooks and powerful chord progressions abound, and the band's quirky sense of humor helps to make it clear that they never make the mistake of taking themselves too seriously. Home...
