News. On 19 May 2008, the Department of Transportation Services of the City of Alexandria initiated a new Motorcoach Task Force with the ultimate goal of recommending a motorcoach management plan to City Council.
The purpose of this simple website is to serve as a place to maintain the most current version of the research paper, Motorcoaches and Tourism Policy in Alexandria, Virginia. What started out as a modest set of notes in 2004 has now grown into a very large document of many pages. Small textual changes may be made in this version from time to time for the purposes of improving clarity and readability only. No changes to the substance of the paper will be made unless a new version number is issued. Current plans are to leave this paper in draft form and to update it as conditions warrant.
