Baby Gifts

And here it is, the finished baby gifts! Both are knit with Sublime yarns-- the hat is in aran weight, and the kitten is worsted weight.
The kitten has been quite the learning experience-- It didn’t come  out quite the way I intended, but I like it anyway. Here it is from another angle. It’s modeled on Mowgli, but it’s much better behaved.
He had his first outdoor experience today! Chris and I took him out on a lead into the little enclosed garden in the courtyard of our building. It must be said, he didn’t like it too much--mostly just hid in Mummy’s lap, but I’m sure once he gets used to it, it’ll be nice for him to get some fresh air. Chris and I are thinking of submitting his picture to the londonpaper--in my opinion the least horrible of the trashy free newspapers. They run a londonpets feature, where they publish a picture and a little blurb about the animal. Here’s the picture we’re thinking of submitting:
I’m not sure if it shows enough of his personality, but it is a good picture of the little guy.
