Bourbon County, Kentucky
For years I have hosted the Shawhan Family web site, which included my family history and genealogy and my interest in Bourbon County, Kentucky and the historic Ruddles and Martins Forts.  Now–with the help of new web technology and learning a bit about how to put a web site together–I decided to completely revise the site.  Hopefully, it will be easier to navigate.

This site is dedicated primarily to Bourbon County, Kentucky, and the region surrounding it.  If you want to know more about my family’s roots in this county, go to my ROOT & BRANCH site.  There I have collected an exhaustive amount of information on the Shawhans, Smiths, McCunes, Hinksons, Ravenscrafts, and many more, including my wife’s family.

Special Note:  The Ruddles and Martins Forts (RAMSHA) pages will now be run by Jon Hagee, a friend and partner in research.  He has access to all of the data that I have collected and  I give him sole responsibility for organizing, uploading, and overseeing the site.  This web site links to his site (see above).

                                                                Thanks,
