Lt Daniel Francis Casey Memorial
Lt. Daniel Francis Casey kept a photo album of his time in the US Marine Corp. His photos include pictures from a cruise on the USS Wichita to South America as well as training in the states. As his son, I have added documents from his military career and photos from his dating and marrying my mother Ms. Eleanor Hattwick Adkins (then Eleanor Pearl Hattwick). Also included are photos from letters home to his new wife and son and Marine reunions which include members of A company 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment of the 3rd Marine Division. A-1-9 was the unit he died in on March 6, 1945. Two sections include his burial in Arlington National Cemetery as a photo series and a movie of the funeral. The last section is a history of the USS Wichita. Contact Daniel Casey Adkins via email daniel.adkins@mac.com
