Foothill College's Krause Center of Innovation sponsors the Earn While you Learn Program which encourages California Bay Area teachers to apply new technology in educational settings. Gunn's AP U.S. History teacher, Bob Kelly, Mountain View High's English as a Second Language teacher, Hector Perez, and Gunn's Instructional Technology Manger, Darlene Feldstein, teamed-up to explore the use of iPods and Palms in secondary curriculum. They hoped that the use of popular hand-held devices by high school students would inspire fresh enthusiasm and creativity in academic pursuits.
