INVISIBLE INK is an installation and event taking place over a 5 days. Each day at the same time a frame made of a mixture of frozen iodine and water drips into a basin containing a piece of muslin. The metal basin has been “miked” to amplify the rhythmic sound of the dripping. The fabric has been screen printed with an image made of liquid starch instead of regular ink. The starch image is invisible until it reacts with the
dripping iodine. After an hour or so, a purplish yellow image of a woman’s undershirt emerges from the cloth. The iodine and starch prints remain as artifacts of the events. invisible_slide.html
