April 2008
As Ceaser said when he crossed the river Rubicon "jacta alea est!". “The die is cast” and the time is set. The adventure is about to unfold.
In April I will set about traveling around the world by motorcycle, my biggest adventure to date. While it’s taken some time to unfold and I’ve had a few changes of direction (you know; east west, west east, this hemisphere, that hemisphere, how many arctic circle crossings, that kind of thing), the route has begun to take shape and will include: The USA, Canada, China, Mongolia, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Kaliningrad, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Scotland, Ireland, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco.
At that point I’ll decide whether I continue straight down through Africa or head east through Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, to India, Thailand, Vietnam enroute to OZ. Oh, then there’s south America, but I won’t get there till next year
