The Herreshoff Marine Museum (HMM), provide an outstanding experience of education, fun and inspiration relating to the best of the sport of sailing.
Visitors are awed by the Museum's collection of 60 original Herreshoff boats, steam engines, artifacts and brilliant photographs depicting America's greatest designer and builder during "The Golden Age of Yachting."
The Museum is an exciting, evolving center for brilliant programs, an outstanding sailing school, a museum store -all to fascinate visitors, young and old.
Come see the presentations about the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company and the fabulous yachts that won sailing trophies in all parts of the world. Located in picturesque Bristol Rhode Island with a beautiful waterfront museum site, the HMM combines education, sailing programs, boat restoration, historic displays with the inspiring and informative maritime industrial history of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company.
Over 60 watercraft are on display. HMM possess 4 acres, 9 buildings, including the Herreshoff House, Herreshoff Manufacturing Complex and the North Wharf, a site that preserves over 150 years of Rhode Island’s rich maritime history.
The America's Cup Hall of Fame, is a permanent center for honoring those individuals most important to the 150 year record of competition for the oldest and most distinguished of all international sporting trophies.
Located at the Herreshoff Marine Museum The America's Cup Hall of Fame includes a display honoring the inductees; half models of most challengers and defenders; artifacts including spars, innovative steering wheels, and tank test model hulls; exciting photos of America's Cup matches; a video room, and special exhibits incorporating many aspects of America’s Cup competition.
It is this commitment and spirit that has allowed for ASMA’s 2008 New England Exhibition to be housed here for all to enjoy.

We welcome you walk through the various exhibit spaces… where you will be enchanted by the art on display from many of the country’s leading marine artists who’s inspiration is the sea, the people of the sea and the vessels, boats and ships that dance upon the waves. You will be captivated by the power and fury and serenity of the ocean as seen by their eyes for you to enjoy.
There will be many other events that will be going on during the show i.e: painting demos, slide shows , book readings, children’s programs, sea shanty singers, etc. Schedule of events to be announced.
