Today I wish a happy, happy b-day to someone I've known forever, my recent bridesmaid and 'bff' Jeanie.  And by forever I mean since I was 5.  We are now both newlyweds, next up my friend... babies (yikes).

 

Speaking of birthdays... a coworker and I shared a moment of horror and disgust this week while at a birthday lunch for another coworker.  We were talking about friends that we had known for 25 and 27 years respectively, and we realized that we had known these friends before the coworker who's b-day we were out celebrating was born.  He was turning 23.  

 

We looked around the car as saw our coworkers were, 23, 23 and 25.  I'm 32, she's about to "enter into a new decade" herself.  We then both launched into a slightly defensive discussion of how every year we've gotten older has been better and better, and how our 30's have been so much better than our 20's.  Our coworkers responded that they had been enjoying their 20's quiet nicely so far, but said they were glad to hear that the 30's would be nice as well.  

 

When they got there.
