The Dogs of War VSF

During the summer of 2006, the Dogs of War started to get serious about doing some Victorian Science Fiction gaming.  We were introduced to this genre by Bill Witthans through a number of games of G.A.S.L.I.G.H.T.  True to form, after being inspired, we said we would just start with a single squad of 10 troopers, a leader and some sort of vehicle.  Of course, being the Dogs, we could not stop there, and many of us now have collections that include multiple factions, with each faction having at least two squads, an artillery battery and at least one vehicle.  Also, our terrain selection grew by leaps and bounds, especially after Joe informed us of the great possibilities to be found in the aquarium section of Petco!  Of course there is no rhyme or reason to our collection, and we have everything from ruined Greek temples to Aztec pyramids and Egyptian ruins, with Victorian era human troops from the Allied powers, flying monkeys and Egyptian dog-people to fight amongst them.    Recently we have been tailoring our collections towards historical conflicts as well.  We have set games during the Spanish American War and the Boxer Rebellion.  Our latest convention game is a pre-WW2 Shanghai scenario.  We have run this game at both Strategicon and HMGS-PSW conventions.
