Crosstickle Labradors
and a Cavalier

Our Labradors and Cavalier are first our family members and live in the house. At Crosstickle, our dogs participate in obedience classes and trails. Show handling classes and conformation shows as well as Therapy dog visits.
Temperament and soundness are important qualities in our companions.

My hometown is Lewisporte Newfoundland. As a child I spent many summers visiting my Grandparents on Bell Island Newfoundland. I have fond memories with them that I will cherish forever. To get to Bell Island you had to cross over on a ferry from Portugal Cove. The water way is called a “tickle” which means a narrow salt-water strait often difficult or treacherous to navigate because of the tides. The Bell Island Tickle was often impossible to go through because of ice in the spring.

My desire to protect the breeds is compared to “crossing the tickle”. I will do all I can do for my dogs no matter the obstacles.

When I think of the Labrador, I think of my home where these seadogs were first originated. I am dedicated to the preservation of the breed. My hope to breed the versatile Labrador, that could be of a sound temperament, and healthy.
