Commonplace Holiness:
Up on My Soapbox

1.The Podcasts are in mp3 form now. This means they no longer have those nice pictures on them, but they should play now without having to use iTunes. And, they should play for more people who come here to visit. The Podcasts are listed in the iTunes store (or they were the last I knew).
2.Several people have reported having difficulty adding comments to a post. I don't know what is happening, but I will continue to try to investigate this. This may be a problem with certain browsers. Not sure. I'm going to check out the online iWeb forums over at Apple to see if this problem has been reported. I am aware that iWeb is only at Version 2.0.3, and I am expecting more improvements and bug fixes. I was running into a lot of glitches when I first put this site up, but the problems I was having initially have all been ironed out. This Comments Issue is the only issue I have right now.
3.There are additional Topic Pages waiting in the wings: a Sexuality Issues page (which you can see coming together here) and a Christian Beliefs page (currently blank). In a few more weeks, with a few more posts up, I'll make those official.
4.It's a big project, but I intend to more fully integrate the various Old Book pages into the site. I'm thinking of putting a simple navigation bar along the top of each page. This will take me a while since: (1.) there are a biz-zillion pages (oh, well, not really that many), and (2.) I haven't managed to design a navigation bar that I like yet.
5.I've been very pleased by the traffic here, however. The hit counter on the Welcome page is at 785 this afternoon, and that's very encouraging, since the site was only launched on January 4, 2008 — and, it was few weeks or so before I put the hit counter on it.
6.It's also nice to get connected in with the other Methodist bloggers, and I appreciate their support. Allan R. Bevere was very helpful in explaining how to get in on the Weekly Roundups. And, it was nice of John the Methodist to include a profile of me at his Locusts and Honey site. I’ve also been in touch with Jay at the Methoblog, to get “connected up” with that project as well. So, this site really does seem to be off and running — and just a bit more successful than I had anticipated.
7.As always, feedback and suggestions are helpful and appreciated. As I'm getting more accustomed to the software, I'm starting to see what else I can do with it.
