Corey Lab

Our lab is interested in how white blood cells develop from a pluripotential stem cell and how things turn out bad resulting in leukemia and related disorders (myelodysplastic syndromes and congenital neutropenia).  Because people die from cancer only after it invades and metastasizes, we are also studying breast and osteosarcoma cancer cells and how they invade normal tissues.

By identifying the components and mechanisms of granulopoiesis and cytoskeletal reorganization, validate new drug targets and signaling pathways for better treatment of leukemia and solid tumors, such as breast cancer.
