This is the result of an improperly flashed plumbing vent on the roof. Top pictures are in the upstairs bathroom where the leak started. Water traveled down the wall into the floor joists and spread across the ceiling in the bedroom below. The owners new a leak started but wanted to know where the water was traveling.
