To the naked eye this ceiling appeared fine. With the infrared camera, I noticed an area of cooling where the ceiling meets the wall. Checking the area with a moisture meter revealed high percentages of moisture here.  Directly above this spot is the wall that houses the plumbing for the master shower. I did not open the wall but, it is a pretty good bet the plumbing has a slow leak and the potential for mold growth here is high.
