 Last week I finally was able to meet up with one of my frequent thunderstorm reschedules know as  "FTRs"   I felt terrible that the summer thunder and lightening pattern made me have to keep rescheduling Courtney and Wayne's engagement photos.  I am SO glad I finally got their session done.  I absolutely LOVE them.  They were so much fun, so willing to make public spectacles of themselves... and they TOTALLY trusted me.   Here are a couple photos from the session.

 Tyler   | 9 Month Portrait

 On Sunday I headed up to Lynch Park in Beverly to do Tyler's 9 month baby portraits.  It's amazing how much these little guys grow in SUCH a short time.

We had a beautiful day and Tyler was all smiles!!! He's still got those amazing blue eyes and I don't think they are going to change.  Lucky boy!!

This was also his first time to the beach!  he looks like an old pro!  Has his hat on, got his sand toys out...

 Sarah + Sef | Wedding Photos

 Sarah and Sef are one of the sweetest couples.  Tonight I shot their wedding at Mechanics Hall in Worcester.  We started off in Webster at her parents cottage on a lake.  Then we went to a Unitarian Church in Worcester followed by a reception at Mechanics Hall.  Mechanics Hall is one of the most glorious ballrooms in New England.   I was also SO excited to see my FAVORITE caterer Tastings Caterers!

Leslie + Chris 

 Last weekend between (Oh gosh, was it two weekends ago now?) In the flurry of engagement photos, weddings and the portrait party, I meet up with Leslie and John for an engagement session at Queen Lake just west of Gardner Ma. I drove up to find a little cabin in the woods built by her Great Grandparents.  So old they have just updated with plumbing and electricity in the recent years.  

Leslie and Chris are getting married in Austin Texas in 2009.

 Sunday I had a portrait party with some fabulous kids and parents!  I am so thankful to Chelsea (the host) for finding such great people so ready to have some amazing photos done of their kids.  Any of the kids below can win a free 11x14.  All pictures will be named Child 1, 2, 3 etc due for security reasons.  .   To win a free 11x14 the owner of the photo with the most comments gets a free print of their choice from their gallery!  Ellen + Justin | Wedding

This weekend was so insanely busy I was so happy that I had a wedding of one of my favorite families!  Ellen and Justin got married at Providence College in the Chapel on campus.  Ellen is the sister of one of my showcase brides Laurie and the cousin to Lynne who I photographed last year. I love it that they all love my work so much to keep hiring me for their family weddings. That's the best compliment I could ever receive.   I adore the Mahoney/Sheeley clan.

 Block Island \ Wedding

 Last Sunday Seth and I had a intimate little wedding on Block Island.  The couple were just so happy to be married after being together for circa 10 years!    The weather held off, it wasn't too sunny or too hot.  We got some amazing shots.  The wedding was held at the Atlantic Inn.

Block Island |  Rhode Island Wedding

 Today I have a Block Island wedding with Rachel and David, we arrived yesterday just in time to do a very very quick engagement session around the island.  Here are some of the shots.

Block Island reminds me so much of Cape Cod.  It's so beautiful.  We stayed at the Payne's Harborview Inn in New Harbor.  it had a great view and they were nice enough to let us stay just for one night.

 Michelle Turner Seminar

 Today I attended a seminar with Michelle Turner, one of my favorite photographers.  We ended up shooting in downtown Lowell and have a fantastic couple model for us.  Karen and Bobby were fantastic and a couple Michelle found through Jill from Strut Photography.  Thank you Jill!

Trash the dress shots have become VERY popular.  For ONE week  (June 23rd through the 27) just 5 days,  I am going to do them for JUST $50.00.   The money will go towards the Jimmy Fund.     You will get to pick the location of the shoot or I can help you.    Please pass this on to anyone that might want to do it.   Feel free to post it on message boards or email it around.  Group sessions welcome.   Each girl pays $50.00.  If you want to do this session, but you haven't been married yet, we can do a session in another dress.

After the session you will have a viewing session.  You will view the images in house, and then if you want them online, it's another $10.00 to the Jimmy Fund. Slideshow Online?  $10.00.   All photos may be purchased for regular print prices.  These are artistic shots and you'll absolutely love what we do.  To see some of our shoots, please log into our site and view the "Art" section.  You get to be a model for a bit.  You can purchase the disc of images for $250.00.

Now the disclaimer:  We won't drive to Peoria.  (Have you SEEN the cost of gas?)  When I did the pet shoot, the driving killed me.  I was all over Massachusetts and I promised my husband I wouldn't do that again.   We can work with you anywhere, but if you live in the corner of MA, we do ask that you plan on coming a little closer.  If you aren't sure about where we will go, just ask!   All sessions will be schedule between 5-8 PM to make it easy to get out of work.  No need for hair and make up.   Best time for light too!

AKA -GoodReadz!  If you haven't checked it out - you are missing the coolest new website.

GoodReadz took me awhile to warm up to, mainly because I don't have a ton of time to read, but as of recently I have found some time and have been filling up my bookshelf.  

It was developed by my husbands college roommate, Otis. We love Otis, so we have to give him a little shout out on our blog.   It's an amazing little site to remember what you've read, pick up some new books to read and connect with others who like the same books you do.

 Puerta Vallarta Mexico

 It's about time I got around to blogging this wedding.  I don't know why it took me so long.  Things just kept getting piled on top of it, and I just never did it.  This was Mel and Donny's Wedding.  I shot this with my good friend Michelle Turner who invited me down in Puerta Vallarta back in March    This wedding was beautiful, and Mel and Donny were so fun to work with.  The wedding was held at the Playa Fiesta in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico.

 Prom Season!

 You won't see this often from me, but once in awhile I get a request to do prom photos.

My cousin Ryan headed off to the Ursuline Academy Jr. Prom.  To be 16 again... these kids were fun and so willing to let me play a little.  Great group of kids!  

Have you met my husband?  

 So I rarely post a lot of personal life.  I barely have time to post about all my weddings and portraits.  I think I still have to blog one of my Puerta Vallarta Weddings.  Anyway, for those who haven't had the pleasure to met my shy, but ridiculously cute husband ... here he is.

This is Seth.  he's dressed up on Halloween as a Rocker.  If he had let me take a full length, you would have seen the leather pants he hand on.  Size 29 waist.  We hate him. :) 

 Second Shooting 

 Today I assisted one of my very good friends and amazing photographer Jill from Strut Photography

We shot a wedding down in Worcester, MA starting at the Crown Plaza in Worcester and then on to a local Country Club in a town I won't even try to spell.

The bride was beautiful.  The groomsmen looked amazing (even though they didn't think Pink was their color).  I had the task of photographing the guys to start out the day.  This was my favorite shot of the day.

They were a little shy at first, but a few glasses of Orange juice spiced them right up.

I didn't say it was sans alcohol :)   I got them talking about one of my favorite topics.  Baseball.

Seems they were Sox fans.

Then it was on to the girls room for me.  The bride was smiling all day long.  I decided while going through these, that she looks a little like Reese Witherspoon.

 Shoot with Beckstead

 This past week David Beckstead (one of 2007 Top 10 Wedding Photographers in the WORLD) came to my home to host a small seminar. David is one of the reasons that when I got into photography I actually became a wedding photographer.  All my couples can thank him!

The seminar  was truly amazing.  His way of seeing the world is unique and inspiring.  We went on a live shoot with him. We drove down to Union Station in Worcester and had a wonderful couple models.

Judge for yourself, but I think I learned a thing or two.

 I am so amazed that people are still contacting me to do pet photos.  The MSPCA fundraiser ended over 3 weeks ago, and people are still getting photos done!

Deirdre + Carl 

 Deirdre and Carl had a beautiful wedding.  I met them through a referral from my sister and I am so thrilled I was able to be a part of their day.  These two are the sweetest couple and I really felt like I knew them for years.  All the vendors they put together were amazing.  The videographer Matt from Fisher Video Production was amazing.  They are 100% professional aren't rude and really stay out of the way.  I can't say enough good things about them.  Now on to the newleywed pictures.
