WriteTogethr works like this... Each week (except for the first) I will post a series of online challenges that your child will need to complete.  Each challenge will include tasks based on writing structure and grammar, thinking skills and communicating clearly.  With feedback your child will progress through levels from Beginner to Master.  They will get an icon on their blog to indicate their level.

What the student requirements?

To be part of the program students must commit to writing three blog posts per week.

What can they write about?

The students can write about anything that interests them.  They should choose something they are very interested in because by the end of the program they will be writing in lots of detail.  Ideally they could choose something they particularly wanted to understand better.  For example if they are interested in riding bikes they may choose write about fixing your bike.  Don’t worry the activities will give them enough inspiration to take them outside replacing a bike chain.

Feedback from me

I will comment on each piece of writing.  The comments will indicate how well they have achieved the outcomes set out in the challenge, encouragement on their writing and constructive feedback on their writing.

Peer Feedback

As your child becomes more comfortable writing online they may choose to make their blog public.  They can then share there writing with peers and may even find other bloggers who are interested in their writing.
