It is futuristic look at a world with flying cars, iChat phones, and a great divide between the social classes, it was made in 1929. I think I read somewhere that Ridley Scott took inspiration from the workers in the movie marching off to work for his famed “1984 Macintosh commercial shown during the SuperBowl. Interestingly the movie is black and white, but they did promotional material in color, it is also a silent movie.
