I started shooting endless amounts of photographs when I was a child. Of course that was before the days of digital photography and when I realized how much it cost to develop photos I stopped for a while.
Fast forward to Christmas 2006. My parents bought me a Canon Digital Elph and it was all downhill from there. There was not a single person, place or thing that could escape me with that camera in my hand. And I have to say, some of my better photographs were taken with this small, pocket-sized point and shoot camera...not too shabby! When taking the trip of a lifetime to Vietnam in January of 2008, I shot nearly 1,000 pictures with this camera. It’s a trooper!
This year I had the good fortune of being able to use a bigger and better camera that has practically become a part of my hand since it was put there. I absolutely love capturing the details that those of us living in the fast lane (aren’t we all?) tend to miss. The little nuances of life. For me, that is what being a photographer is about.
