Coach Tom was born in The Netherlands and that's where he developed his love for the game of soccer. In 1970, Tom and his family moved to Cupertino where he attended Cupertino High School. During his career at San Jose State University, Tom represented the West at the US Olympic Sports Festival two years and was an All-American at SJSU. After being drafted by the Memphis Americans in the MISL (Major Indoor Soccer League) and playing professionally for two years, he came back to the Bay Area and played semi-professional soccer. Mr. Vischer won two National Open Cup titles, one with the San Francisco Greek-Americans and also with the San Jose Oaks. For the past 15 years, Coach Tom has been coaching youth soccer players ranging in age from 2.5-18. He has been a coach or trainer at the select club level with numerous teams. He has the highest license (’A’) the United States Soccer Federation awards in addition to the USSF 'Y' license. Mr. Vischer has attended many clinics including the youth specific KNVB (Dutch National Soccer League) 4v4 clinics. He resides in Campbell with his wife and two kids.
