Since the incident in the warehouse in 1913, the property has been abandoned. However, many strange occurrences have still been reported. We have compiled a list of pertinent events with details. Below is a short list of some of the stories that support the legend of the property.
October 3, 1932 - A local farmer is found dead on the property. Rumor has it that the body was found in the field adjacent to the warehouse. The investigation states that while he was disking the field, he stopped to move a small tricycle from his path. Suddenly, his tractor slipped into drive running him over and dismembering him. It has been said that the tractor was found parked inside the warehouse, just past the loading dock area.
October 16, 1941 - Rita Miller, the lone survivor from 1913, was a patient at a large psychiatric treatment center in Sonoma, CA. Now 49 years old, she walks out the front door of the facility. 2 days later, several people enter the warehouse, after hearing screams while passing by. Upon entering the warehouse, the woman is found in the rafters with a sign around her neck that reads, “Serius, ocius”. Translated to English it means, “Sooner or Later”
October 7, 1963 - A man is found outside the warehouse. His identity is not known and no one ever comes forward to report him missing. His death is reported as a suicide even though his hands were bound and his eyes had been removed.
October 28, 1985 - A young family, during a picnic lunch after picking corn, videotapes their 2 year old daughter while she dances in the fields near the warehouse. After watching the video at home, they notice a strange apparition in the video that appears to be taking over the young girl. The video is featured on various mystery shows, and is authenticated by several audio/visual professionals. Interest in the video dies and no further information can be found regarding it.
October 31, 2002 - A amateur film crew from Stanislaus State University, creating a documentary as a class project, decides to create a film about the warehouse. They interview several people involved in the above events, as well as others. They disappear the same night while trying to document several rumored events inside the warehouse and are never heard from again.
February 5, 2006 - The original owner of the property passes away. While he willed that the property was to remain vacant and never be sold, his heirs decide to attempt a renovation of the buildings and property to sell it. Never understanding the truth about the curse, and believing that the property has just had some bad luck, they hire a building inspector to estimate costs of upgrades and improvements. While conducting his inspection of the electrical system, he finds a duffle bag stuffed behind a panel. The bag contains various video equipment and film. Instead of turning the bag over to the owners, he pawns the video equipment and keeps the money. One of the cameras is purchased by local businessman. He watches the film that was left inside and researches the property. He then buys the property with the plan of marketing it as a Halloween event to capitalize on its' tainted history.
October 2006 - The Fright Factory Haunted Attraction takes place. Many people attend, a few people are reported missing during the event. Fearing that the location is truly haunted, the owners move the event. Mysterious things continue to take place. In the evenings, the owner takes the original film home for safe keeping. The owner experiences personal loss and trauma at home. The owner then realizes that all of these strange events seem to take place where ever the recovered film is at.
2007 - The owner, in order to salvage his life savings and personal assets that he has invested in the attraction, plans Fright Factory 2007. Naming it Jolts’ Revenge, he anticipates another season of strange events.
October 2008 - Fright Factory set-up and construction is started. Within the first few days, set-up is brought to a halt by strange events, injuries, and mishaps. As set-up continues, one of the workers is reported missing and the night watchman reports strange and mysterious sounds and movement at night.
